 Since being elected Councilmember Bernstein has proudly assisted in the following Town improvements:

  • Completed more than $76 million in Capital Improvement Projects:
    • Replaced 80-year-old water distribution system
    • Installed a comprehensive stormwater system
    • Installed sidewalks and curbs throughout Town
    • Relocated overhead utilities to underground
  • Spearheaded sidewalks in Town
  • Replaced bridges at Center Island, North Island and South Island
    • Secured $9 Million in federal funding
  • Golden Beach Beautification Projects on A1A and west of the Strand.
  • Replaced Street Lights throughout Golden Beach – $3 Million from FPL
  • Spearheaded high speed fiber

Councilmember Bernstein’s vision for the Town’s future includes the following: 

  • Redevelop Tweddle Park with new recreational facilities, modernized tot lot, expanded dog park, and outdoor gathering and event spaces.
  • Construct Padel Courts
  • Complete the Town Wellness Center
    • Offer Pilates, yoga and strength classes.
  • Enhancing security and safety measures on the beach.
  • Expanding neighborhood activities that bring residents together and strengthen community connections; including game nights; bonfire on beach, and other social gatherings.
  • Increase number of security cameras and modernize monitoring system
  • Adding new amenities and services at Town’s facilities to better serve residents
  • Reduce the Town’s millage rate
